This is my mom’s classic coleslaw recipe, and it’s delicious. It’s not exact—taste as you go to get the texture and sweetness you prefer. I like mine really creamy and slightly sweet.

Ingredients:
– Cabbage
– Apple cider vinegar
– Sugar
– Miracle Whip Light (or preferred mayonnaise-style dressing)
– Milk
Directions:
1. Finely shred the cabbage using a food processor or a sharp knife.
2. Transfer the shredded cabbage to a large bowl. Add a few tablespoons of Miracle Whip Light, then splash in apple cider vinegar and sprinkle with sugar. Add a little milk to thin the dressing to your desired consistency. Mix well and taste, adjusting the vinegar, sugar, or dressing until it suits your preference.
Notes:
– For a creamier slaw, increase the Miracle Whip or mayonnaise slightly. For a tangier slaw, add more apple cider vinegar. For sweeter slaw, add a bit more sugar.
– This recipe is flexible—additions like grated carrot, thinly sliced onion, or a squeeze of lemon can enhance flavor if you like.
