How to make Christmas Cookie Sugar Scrub
Yield: One 8 oz jar
Step 1: Add 1/4 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil to a heat-safe bowl or measuring cup
Tip: Use coconut oil that is solid at room temperature. Choose cold-pressed, unrefined oil to retain its natural, skin-soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Step 2: Melt the coconut oil
Gently melt the oil in the microwave in short bursts or use a double boiler. For a double boiler: simmer about 2 inches of water over medium heat, place the heat-safe bowl with oil on top, stir occasionally until fully melted, then remove from heat.

Step 3: Cool slightly and add fragrance
Allow the melted coconut oil to cool a bit, then stir in approximately 30 drops of vanilla oleoresin. Mix until well combined.

Step 4: Add sugar
Stir in 1 cup of organic, non-GMO sugar until evenly combined with the oil and vanilla mixture.

Step 5: Add festive sprinkles
Stir in 1 tablespoon of red and green nonpareil sprinkles for a seasonal touch. The sprinkles add color but are optional if you prefer a more natural look.

Step 6: Mix thoroughly
Stir until the sugar, oil, vanilla, and sprinkles are fully combined and the texture is even.

Step 7: Transfer to jar
Scoop the finished scrub into an 8 ounce mason jar and press gently to remove air pockets.

Step 8: Add label and decoration
Finish with a printable label and tie red & white twine around the jar for a charming presentation.

How to use the sugar scrub
- Wash the skin with soap or body wash and rinse thoroughly.
- Use a clean spoon to scoop out the scrub — avoid introducing water into the jar.
- Apply a generous amount to wet skin.
- Work one area at a time, massaging in circular motions to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells.
- Rinse well and pat skin dry.
- For extra hydration, follow with a whipped body butter.
